Planning a Remote Website Project

Remote work is easier to review when decisions are written down. Use this checklist to agree on a process before a website project starts.

Create one shared brief

Describe the business, audience, main customer action and existing website. List required pages and examples of what you like, explaining why. Identify one person who can consolidate decisions and distinguish required changes from preferences.

Prepare content and reviews

Collect approved text, logos and original images in an agreed location. Record usage permissions. Review a preview link on desktop and mobile, using page names and screenshots to make feedback specific. Combine conflicting feedback before returning it.

Agree on acceptance and launch

Confirm the scope, review stages and responsibilities in writing. Before launch, check contact details, forms, links, page titles, mobile layouts and existing URLs. Identify who approves publication and who can restore the previous version if needed.

Leave a usable handoff

Record where the domain and hosting are managed, how changes are made and which services renew. Arrange access through the provider’s normal invitation process rather than sending passwords in project messages. This is a planning checklist; the project agreement defines the actual deliverables and schedule.

Talk through your website
